A Working Icemaker

Weve had this refrigerator for six months and love it. It has been problem-free since we purchased it. The best part of it is the icemaker. It makes small ice cubes in the top door section that are the perfect size and in the bottom it makes round ice balls for craft cocktails which get a lot of ooohs and aaaahs from our guests. Our last refrigerator another brand was wonderful but the icemaker was a joke. It constantly froze up and was totally unreliable. After numerous unsuccessful service calls our warranty just gave us money to buy a new refrigerator. Our appliance specialist recommended this LG model and were glad he did. The ability to see through the glass door is a great feature. There is plenty of interior room and there are options for configuring the space to fit your needs. The flexible top pullout drawer lets us customize this space depending on our current needs. I dont have a single complaint about this refrigerator. Its very sleek and attractive on the outside and is an attractive addition to our beautiful kitchen. But its the ICE that has totally won me over

Craft Icemaker design flawed

This frig is two years old. Two major things wrong with this frig. Te first is the freezer drawers. The inner upper drawer cant be pulled out all the way. That makes it difficult to get/see anything in the back of both drawers. The biggest design issue is with the craft icemaker. It is really slick when it works and the craft cubes fantastic for cocktails. However it doesnt work for long. The first failure was at six months and replaced under warranty. The replace icemaker failed three months later. Both times were preceded by loud knocking then ice cubes stopped being made and the ice drawer filled with water and froze into a sheet. No troubleshooting or help in Support.

Ive been overly happy and very useful w 7 kids in home. Able to store snacks separate from main meal prep. Only issue i had was compressor went out unexpectedly i lost everything i went the day b4 and bought. Everyone knows jow expensive that is my family are meat eaters so i lost $400. BUT they sent someone out fixed it im back to running and now waiting for compensation they are supposed to send to help me out some.
